The value of the world carpet market is estimated at 17 billion US dollars, with Turkey being an important producer and exporter in this field. In 2022, Turkey's total carpet exports were valued at 2.8 billion US dollars, making the country the second-largest carpet exporter and one of the leading producer countries. Turkey currently holds 17% of the global carpet market.
Expertise in the carpet industry and strong partnerships also play an important role. The Gaziantep Carpet Fair, organized by TÜYAP All Fair Organizations Inc. in cooperation with the Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce, Gaziantep Governorship, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters' Union (GAHİB), and Gaziantep Carpet and Weavers Association, will be held at the Middle East Fair Center (OFM) in Gaziantep from May 28 to 31, 2024.
